Andrew Stancel has consulted for more than 19 years on executive and director pay in Canada and the U.S. focusing on program design and implementation, benchmarking, pay-for-performance alignment, technical and regulatory matters, compensation governance, and managing compensation related risk.
Andrew works with clients across various industries including construction, financials, industrials, mining, real estate, and technologies. He works with small and large-cap public and private companies, as well as quasi-public organizations such as airports.
Andrew has authored articles on topics such as executive compensation disclosure, compensation committee governance, and tax-effective incentive arrangements. Prior to Meridian, he worked in tax at Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young and authored articles for the Canadian Tax and Taxation of Executive Compensation & Retirement Journals covering personal tax planning. He holds a B.Com. in Commerce & Finance and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto.
